Choose how your PDF should become a Word document

PDFs preserve a fixed page design, while Word rearranges text for editing. Pick the output that suits the job, then compare the DOCX with your original before sharing it.

How to use it

  1. Choose editable layout for text that should stay near its original position.
  2. Choose plain text for a cleaner draft when page design is not important.
  3. Choose page images when the page must look similar, knowing that image text is not editable.
  4. Open the downloaded DOCX and review every page, especially tables and right-to-left text.

Limits and checks

  • Editable layout rebuilds some tables and approximates text positions; complex borders, merged cells and dense forms can shift.
  • Page-image and editable-layout modes support up to 50 pages at a time.
  • If you cannot select text in the source PDF, recognize it with OCR first.
  • The file is processed in your browser. Keep the original so you can check names, figures and formatting.

Common questions

Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?

No conversion can guarantee both an exact visual match and fully editable text. Use page images when appearance matters most; use editable layout or plain text when you need to revise content.

Can it convert scanned PDFs?

Scans contain page images rather than selectable text. Run OCR first, review the recognized text, then use the text in Word.
