Convert PDF to Word with the right trade-off
PDF records where content appears on a page. Word is designed for editing and reflowing text. No single conversion can make every PDF both pixel-perfect and freely editable, especially forms or scanned pages.
Choose a mode for your job
- Editable text: best when you need to rewrite paragraphs. It keeps text and page breaks but does not recreate the original design.
- Editable layout: keeps text near its PDF position and rebuilds some tables as Word cells. Fonts, vector artwork, form boxes and closely packed labels can differ.
- Page images: preserves the visible appearance of each page, including lines and artwork. Text in those images cannot be edited in Word.
What to check after conversion
Open the downloaded DOCX in Word or another compatible editor. Compare every page with the original, especially names, amounts, table headings, merged cells, page breaks and right-to-left text. Forms often contain drawn checkboxes or interactive fields that an editable layout cannot reproduce exactly; use Page images when the appearance matters more than editing.
Scans need text recognition
If you cannot select text in the PDF, run OCR first. Review recognized words carefully, particularly small print and numbers.
Batchmint processes your file in the browser. Keep the original PDF so you can verify the result.
