Edit your book, chapter by chapter. Everything stays on your device.

Large books work best on a desktop with plenty of free memory. Books over 100 MB expanded cannot use local recovery or saved versions; download after editing.

No uploads or accountsUndo & redoArabic and right-to-left text

For reflowable, unencrypted EPUB 2 and 3. DRM, obfuscated fonts, fixed-layout books and multiple renditions are unsupported.

EPUB editing guide

Edit an EPUB and split it into smaller books

Use the editor to update book details, covers, chapter order, contents and text, then export a revised EPUB. You can split a book by chapter or a chosen range and inspect each result before using it.

How to use it

  1. Open an unencrypted, reflowable EPUB 2 or EPUB 3 book and keep a backup of the original.
  2. Choose a chapter to edit, or update book details, cover art and reading order.
  3. Use the split controls to select chapters for each output book.
  4. Download the EPUB and open it in the reading apps your audience uses.

Limits and checks

  • Fixed-layout and DRM-protected books are not supported.
  • After splitting, links to chapters outside an output part cannot remain active.
  • Check the table of contents, images, reading order and Arabic direction in a real reader; different apps can render the same book differently.
  • For a formal package check, run EPUBCheck on the exported file. The built-in checks are useful diagnostics, not a guarantee of reader compatibility.

Common questions

Can I split an EPUB by chapter?

Yes. Choose chapter boundaries or a custom range, then export the parts as separate EPUB files.

Does editing upload my book?

The book is processed in your browser. Download your work regularly and keep the original as a backup.
